Magnetic bars: common questions
What is a magnetic filter bar?
A sealed stainless tube packed with magnets. Material flowing past it leaves its iron on the surface.
Ceramic or rare-earth?
Ceramic bars give a typical peak above 3,000 gauss and suit coarse tramp iron. Rare-earth bars give a typical peak above 12,000 gauss for fine iron.
Can I build my own separator with your bars?
Yes. Many customers fit our bars into their own grates, hoppers and tanks. Tapped ends make mounting easy.
Are the bars waterproof?
Yes. They are fully seal welded, so they suit wet product and washdown.
How fast can I get them?
Most standard sizes can be delivered in 1–2 working days, subject to stock. Ask us when you order.
Can you make a special length?
Yes. Give us the diameter, length, end type and core type.
