Liquid traps: common questions
What can a liquid trap handle?
Liquids, sauces, syrups, pastes and slurries moving in a pipe. Tell us the viscosity and temperature so we can size it.
Flange or thread?
Either. Match your existing pipework; we make both.
How is it cleaned?
Open the quick-release lid and slide each magnet assembly out, then wipe off the iron.
What pressure can it take?
It depends on size and lid type. Ask for the rating for your line before ordering.
Can it be 316 stainless?
Yes, 316 is available on request for corrosive products or heavy washdown.
How many bars do I need?
Standard traps carry 5, 7 or 9 bars depending on size. Finer contamination may need more contact; we advise per product.
